Pakistan’s telecom regulator, the PTA, is rolling out an update to its device registration system, DIRBS, with the goal of making things easier for everyday users and businesses alike.
The authority says the revamped system—built in-house—will make registering devices simpler and improve the overall experience for everyone who uses it.
To carry out the update, the DIRBS website and its related services will go offline temporarily, starting at 5:00 PM on July 3, 2026, and resuming by 4:00 AM on July 6, 2026.
The PTA is urging both individuals and companies to plan ahead and factor in this downtime.
