Type approval guide

Palestine — MTIT Type Approval & Certification
If you intend to introduce radio or telecom equipment into the Palestinian market, you must first obtain approval from the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology (MTIT).
If you intend to introduce radio or telecom equipment into the Palestinian market, you must first obtain approval from the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology (MTIT). Type approval serves to ensure that wireless and telecom products comply with the necessary technical and safety standards before they are imported, distributed or sold.
Right now, two separate authorities handle this:
- MTIT Ramallah (West Bank) — handles approvals for the West Bank
- MTIT Gaza — handles approvals for the Gaza Strip
Any products such as mobile phones, wireless networking equipment, IoT devices, and short-range communication equipment must obtain approval from the appropriate authority before they can be put on the market.
MTIT Ramallah (West Bank) — Type Approval
Type approval in this country is handled by MTIT and usually involves the acceptance of European standards together with the normal technical documentation. We co-operate with local partners who are registered with MTIT in order to deal with the application and to ensure that your product meets the requirements for the Palestinian market.
MTIT Gaza — Type Approval
The Gaza process is also handled by MTIT, and it functions in a similar manner—European standards and technical documentation are generally accepted. Local partners that have registered with MTIT assist with the review and submission of the documents so that approval can proceed as smoothly as possible.
